SecondSkin is a medical-grade, transparent, adhesive barrier that protects new tattoos while they're healing. It is latex-free, waterproof, breathable, and hypoallergenic.
Removing the SecondSkin
Once your tattoo becomes dry and flakey, it will also become itchy. Do not scratch the tattoo. Instead, lightly slap the skin -- never scratch or rub the tattoo against anything to satisfy the itch.

FAQ
Remove the remaining bandage, clean the area, and continue with the traditional aftercare process of cleaning the tattoo every 12 hours until flakey, then applying a light amount of fragrance-free lotion twice a day until all skin flakes are removed.
It's likely that the untattooed skin had become irritated during removal of the bandage -- this is completely normal!
If you do, however, experience a more serious reaction to the bandage removal, it's likely that you're experiencing an allergic reaction and I recommend you cease use of all SecondSkin and SecondSkin-alike products until you've sought appropriate medical attention.
If you know you’re allergic to medical adhesives or one of the ingredients of SecondSkin, you should not use SecondSkin.
I recommend Dove Sensitive Skin body wash in liquid form.
I recommend Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion.
Traditional tattoo aftercare is recommended when SecondSkin bandages cannot be used, and instead, plastic wrap and SensiWrap are used, Occasionally, a soaker-pad is used to help collect fluid (blood, plasma, etc).
Removing the Bandage/Plastic Wrap
If you do not have pets, I recommend removing the bandage before bed on the day of your tattoo; if you do have pets, leave the bandage on until the morning after.

Because every minute of my time is worth money as a tattoo artist -- from drawing, to setting up, tattooing, and tearing down. This is how I pay my bills. :)
When appointments are cancelled last minute, I'm not able to make that money up by just "working another shift" -- I will need to find another person to fill that time and hope they also don't cancel.
This is why I ask that you reach out to me directly via email at alexalachutatattoos@gmail.com within 72 hours of your appointment so I'm able to recoup that lost time & money.
No. I only tattoo those who are 18 years of age or older.
Legal and valid government-issued photo ID is required at the time of your appointment. If you do not have a legal & valid form of government-issued photo ID, you will not be getting tattooed that day.
Deposits provided to those who cancel their appointment by not providing legal & valid government-issued photo ID will NOT receive their deposit back.
I'm sorry, but we are not. INK NOIR has stairs with no ramp or elevator.
